The Telegram channel “Mash on the Moika” reports that residents of St. Petersburg “began to receive electronic subpoenas in their personal accounts at the State Services.”
The channel also cites a statement by the chief military commissar of the city, Sergei Kachkovsky. According to him, electronic summonses are duplicated with paper summonses of the old format. The military commissar also said that now the new system, introduced by the recently adopted law on the electronic registry, “is being tested before the autumn conscription.”
The information is confirmed by Fontanka, also with reference to the military commissar Kachkovsky. According to him, these agendas are “test”. Also, “the issue of notification via SMS is being worked out.”
Earlier, the author of the law, State Duma deputy Andrei Kartapolov, said that electronic subpoenas would begin to be sent to Russians in the near future. At the same time, he noted that this is a “testing of the system” and that such agendas will not have legal force.
