Macron’s push to enlist Chinese help to chart out a plan for possible talks between Russia and Ukraine has drawn criticism from a number of allies.
At the beginning of the month, the French leader visited China, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and offered him his plan to resolve the Ukrainian issue.
According to media reports, officials in some European countries are confident that Macron’s idea could “make confusion” about Ukraine’s demand that Russia “renounce all Ukrainian territories.”
