Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had presented the TOGG car in the election campaign as “the pride of Turkey.” At the same time, a video makes us believe that the production is at full pelt.
A video out of many, released by the Turkish car manufacturer TOGG and showing the production of its first SUV model T10X, makes News Auto believe that production is experiencing increased demand…
The pre-orders for the first purely Turkish and electric model have exceeded all expectations as according to TOGG, they are over 200,000.
With a price that reaches 47,000 euros in Turkey, whose economy has been severely tested lately, it is surprising for the company to announce that it has more than 200,000 orders for the car.
In fact, in a move with an obvious desire to impress – like most that have been done on the other side of the Aegean on the subject – TOGG reported that in 2023 there will not be 12,000 cars as initially planned but 20,000.
And this is because the increased demand displayed by the T10X, “forced” the company to work harder to increase the production of the factory. It seems in the video that the factory has left behind the counterparts of many manufacturers.
By a simple reduction, however, in order to be able to offer 20,000 cars by 2023, even if it sells out in the current calendar year, production will have to be uninterrupted at 47 cars a day – given the fact that the production line has started on October 29, 2022.
